Samuel Hana

Samuel Hana is a 16 year old tenth grader born and raised in Austin, Texas. He began playing piano at the age of 7 and studies under Julia Hsiao. He has participated and received multiple superior plus ratings in ADMTA (Austin District Music Teachers Association) for Baroque-Classical and Romantic-Contemporary Festivals and has received gold medals since 2020 from the TMTA (Texas Music Teachers Association) Theory Tests. In addition, he is a 2nd place duet winner for American Protégé Piano Duo Four Hands (2021), a 3rd place solo winner for American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition (2024), a 2nd place solo winner for AADGT Passion for Music (2024), and a 2nd place duet winner for AADGT Passion for Music (2024). He has also won a gold medal for the AADGT Passion for Music (2025) 25th Anniversary Competition and was invited to play at Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, Japan. Recently, he won a silver medal at the Special Venue Music Awards International Competition at Harvard University (2025) and earned gold medal at the AADGT Passion of Music Competition at Carnegie Hall (2026).
